Resolved - Status
We can confirm that as of 11:19 CET on June 26, 2026, the issue [Higher error rate for 3DS on Bancontact] has been resolved.

Impact
3DS service was not impacted on other card networks, 3DS service is now operating normally on Bancontact. The incident resulted in all Bancontact 3DS authentications to fail during 11:02 CET - 11:19 CET, June 26 2026. In total we identified 236 Bancontact 3DS authentication failures.

Next Steps
We will continue monitoring system performance and provide a new update if required.

Identified - We have identified an issue on our 3DS service resulting in higher error rates for 3DS authentications on Bancontact only around 11:02 CET - 11:19 CET on June 26 2026.

As a result, users may have experienced degraded performance on POST /3ds authentication requests for Bancontact. In total we have identified around 236 Bancontact 3DS authentication failures.

Our engineering teams have identified the root cause and a fix has been deployed. We will provide an update as soon as more information becomes available.
